Homer Ladas from San Francisco, CA and Sharna Fabiano from Washington, DC
will teem up to teach a weekend of classes with a focus on the current
development of Argentine Tango within our culture and as a living art form.
Homer Ladas is an inventive enthusiast of the popular "Nuevo Tango" school.
His creative energy and utter joy of tango dance is simply beautiful to
watch. Few dancers improvise with such skill, personality, and fluidity of
movement. Homer is skilled in both the leader's and follower's roles, and
emphasizes the development of an organic partner connection and musical
expression. While these aspects of tango are indeed what make the dance so
special, they are often the most difficult to put into words, and for this
Homer's instruction is invaluable. He is committed to helping dancers
discover that tango is more than just steps, and that everyone holds within

Sharna Fabiano is recognized in the most respected tango communities around
the world and has pioneered new developments in tango such as improvising
to contemporary music, exchanging roles, and altering the dance embrace.
She appeared with Daniel Trenner at the Miami Tango Congress in 1999 and
taught tango as part of a U.S.-licenced cultural exchange in Havana, Cuba
in 2002. Sharna studied tango intensively in Buenos Aires and appears on
instructional videos with two of Argentina's most popular young teachers,
Jose Garofalo and Mariano "Chicho" Frumboli. In 2003, she joined the
