Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Tango, Our Memorial Day weekend is approaching very rapidly. This is my final update regarding the Master Classes with Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa.
The registration for J & C classes is now complete. If you have not contacted me prior to last Friday, May 14, 2004, and wish to take the classes, you may be admitted only after we determine whether or not there are enough leaders and followers. The classes are very full. We have 2 private lessons available with Corina and two with Julio. Please contact me as soon as possible if you wish to schedule. If you have booked a private lessons, and still have not sent your registration for the group classes, please do so before this coming Friday, May 22, 2004. After that, all private lessons that are remaining will be offered to those dancers who have placed themselves on the waiting list for second and third lessons. There is room for one more couple in the Advanced/Professional semi-private class on Thursday, May 27, 2004, 7-9PM. The beginner class registration is due tomorrow, May 18, 2004. If you have friends who wish to begin learning tango, this is their big chance to start with remarkable world-class master teachers. Julio and Corina will be joining us at the Tango Colorado Practica on Tuesday, May 25, 2004. Please come and say hello to them and enjoy our fabulous weekly practica at the Denver Turnverein. Tango Colorado has been a wonderful support with all of our events and this will be a special practica where J & C will be able say hello to all of their friends in Colorado. Of course we will ask them to dance a little demo. Julio and Corina's tango show will take place on Friday, May 28, 2004 at the Mercury Cafe. They will perform at midnight. Extasis Tango Orquesta will begin playing around 10:30PM. Please feel free to bring your friends to this very special evening of live tango music and show. We are thrilled that the master classes with Julio and Corina will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the fabulous Tango House of Chas and Marlena. It is a marvelous place and if you have not been there yet, check it out at one of their Saturday milongas! This will be the first set of master classes to take place at the Tango House. The classes on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will take place at our long standing favorite - the Mercury Cafe. They take very good care of the tango dancers there by preparing lunch and dinner that you can order ahead of time so that it is ready for you during our short breaks between classes. Thank you for your fabulous support of this event. The number of registered guests and the enthusiasm with which you all have registered promises a very exciting, high energy event where lots of dancing and lots of learning will happen. We are looking forward to seeing all of you who have been our tango friends for many years and meeting for the first time those of you who are new to our events.
