The Tango Center is a non-profit, street-level, 9,000-sq.ft
all-ages community center, exclusively dedicated to the
music & dance of Argentine Tango. It's in downtown
Eugene, Oregon, home of the University of Oregon.

We have Milongas every Friday & Saturday night. At the
next four:

* Homer Ladas, Mr. Organic Tango from San Francisco, will
teach the 8pm Introduction to Tango from Zero, both
July 16 & 17th. He'll also teach workshops the 17th &
18th.

* July 16th, starting around 9:30, Conjunto Berretin from Portland
with bandleader/bandoneonist Alex Krebs, pianist Tom Grant
and several members of the Oregon Symphony, will play hours
of traditional tango dance music. Alex Krebs will DJ the rest of
the evening. This is also the first CD release party for Conjunto
Berretin.

* July 17th Evan Griffiths' Tango Combo, one of our local Eugene
Tango bands, will play traditional dance Tango starting about
10pm.

[Then, during the week, at various places downtown, we have
our normal two practicas, two mini-milongas, and many classes
with local teachers.]

* July 23 at the Tango Center, Florencia Taccetti will teach the
8pm Introduction from Zero, assisted by Robert Hauk.
Greg Bryant of Eugene will DJ. Dancer/pianist Evan Griffiths'
will join with guest Tango musicians from Michigan: Carmen
Maret on flute & Andrew Bergeron on guitar.

* July 24 Florencia will teach a close-embrace workshop.
At the milonga, Robert Hauk will teach the Intro and DJ,
and Evan Griffiths' Tango Combo will play.

And there'll be performances & surprises at the Milongas, of course.
