The first Milonga Para Los Niños for 2004 will be held in Brisbane on Saturday 31st July. Established as one of the elegant Tango events of the Australian Calendar, the milonga this year, themed for "Tango of the Roses" will include a performance and some soft Latin brackets from Cachicamo Latin Harp, just back from a long tour of Colombia. Marina will add vocals, and some Tango. The Irish Club is a heritage listed venue to give the perfest Tango atmosphere. Lots of dancing 'til 1 am. All the music has been beautifully hand re-mastered by Keith Elshaw of ToTango.net and Keith has donated a special commemorative CD that will be available on the night for a special price. It is easily the best Tango available in the world today.
A group of prominent artists will be opening a special exhibition of paintings with a rose theme on the night. This will be a great opportunity to be the first to acquire a valuable artwork before the exhibition is opened to the general public. The milonga is now in its third year. ALL proceeds go directly to help distressed children in South America. The charity has established reliable partnerships with people on the ground in Argentina and Brazil who directly assist children to achieve a better life. We sincerely value your contribution. Guests are visiting from all over Australia. If you are visiting Brisbane around the time, we would love you to join us.
