On Monday August 2, 2004 will be the GRAND RE-OPENING of weekly "Long Island Tango" Argentine Tango Workshops and Milongas at CLUB 56, in Farmingdale, Long Island ! This will be a SPECIAL EVENT, featuring Beginner and Intermediate Argentine Tango Workshops and a Tango Performance by JON and dancing to Traditional Argentine Tango, Milonga and Vals music by DJ Cody. Argentine Tango Instructor JON TARIQ, known in the Tango community as JON, teaches and performs frequently at various venues in New York City and gave Tango Workshops and Performances in Japan and Italy. JON studied Tango with such Great Masters of Tango as Carlos de Chey, Carlos Gavito, Nito & Alba and others and choreographs all his performances. JON also shared his artistry of Tango with the world, appearing on the FOX 5 Channel and Good Day New York. JON also performed at the "2004 New York City Summer Tango Festival", on July 24th in Central Park and taught on July 24th at the "La Milonga De Gardel" at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center. On July 28th JON will perform at the "Milonga Liquid Tango" at the Empire Dance Studio and on the 14th of August, will teach and perform at the Lafayette Grill, all in New York City. If you have seen JON perform or have taken his Workshops, you undoubtedly know what a treat it will be to have JON teaching and performing on Long Island !!!
