Paulo Araujo
Once more in one of his favorite cities, San Francisco Bay area
with special tango retreat week-end to lovely Mendocino
September 14 - October 12, 2004
                                                                This will be
Paulo's 5th visit to the Bay area, where many of you are already friends and
students. Paulo comes from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil where he founded the
Instituto Tango do Brasil, and has been voted "best teacher in Brazil". In Rio
he has his own studio, "equipe" or group of dancers and teachers, as well as a
weekly Friday milonga at "Xango." He has been dancing and teaching for two
decades already, with his primary teachers having been Gustavo Naveira and
Pepito Avellaneda. He travels in Italy teaching with Graciela Gonzalez, and
most recently taught in festivals in Slovenia, Israel, Oregon and at the World
Tango Festival in Buenos Aires.

If you love tango you will love Paulo. Tango is his passion 24/7 and when he
is not dancing, he is listening to music. He is an excellent DJ with an
extensive compilation of tango music, both classical and alternative. As a
teacher, his strengths are connection between partners, musicality and fluidity
of movement. He specializes in teaching close embrace, milonguero style, and
uses ingenious exercises which get to the essence of the movement and also form
the basis for excellent technique. Until you have danced or taken a class with
him you won't understand why he is such a sensational hit. He is extremely
popular, so please reserve your private and class times with him early in order
to avoid disappointment.
