I am pleased to announce a weekend of workshops with Cecilia Gonzalez on
September 17, 18, and 19th. This will be Cecilia s fifth visit teaching
here in Tampa Bay and we keep bringing her back because she is one of the
best Tango teachers in the world. She has a special gift for making people
understand and enjoy Tango, from the very basics to the most complex
movements.
Cecilia is the only woman teacher who has been invited to teach her own
classes every year at the Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (CITA)
in Buenos Aires. Her Tampa Bay classes will focus on improvisational
dancing and proper technique. Women will particularly enjoy Cecilia s
instruction on the women s role in improvisation, as she is one of the best
in the world, having danced extensively with Chicho, Fabian Salas, and
Gustavo Naveira. Cecilia has an excellent command of the English language
and is a very good communicator.
Dancers of all levels will gain a great deal from her and I recommend
that less experienced people take only the intermediate classes while
advanced dancers are best served by taking all of the workshops.

We are not scheduling a Saturday night milonga as part of this event
in order to not conflict with the regular Tampa Bay Tango Club
