Tango By The River, Northern California's premier center for Argentine Tango, is proud to announce a 10-hour, Silver-level Argentine Tango Teacher Training-Instructor Development Course on November 13-14, 2004. This fabulous program will be taught by San Francisco's Christy Cote, director of the Metronome Ballroom's Argentine Tango program. Pre-requisite: completion of the Bronze-level training program (certification not required).
This weekend course will cover the lead and follower's technique for 23 intermediate figures (Silver level) as outlined in the DVIDA Manual (MAT13), authored by Christy Cote. Maximum students: 16. Cost: $199.00, which includes the instructional video for the Silver level program. Pre-paid participants will preview and study the manual and video prior to that weekend's intensive to optimize instructional time. BRONZE-LEVEL TESTING AND CERTIFICATION For those who have already completed the Bronze-level program, Christy will offer testing and certification at Tango By The River on Monday Nov 15th, 2004 by appointment in 1.5 hour time slots. Two candidates can share the same appointment and split the fee. The schedule is as follows: 9am-10:30am 10:30am-12noon 12noon-1:30pm 1:30pm-3pm Fee: TBD. Fee will include testing, personal individualized coaching by Christy, and DVIDA certification. Reservations will be confirmed upon payment in full. 8 slots open. *** To facilitate preparation for Bronze-level certification, Tango By The River will be hosting a Professional's Practica from 11am to 3pm on the following dates: Sunday, September 26, 2004; Sunday, October 24, 2004. These workshops are scheduled for the day after our regularly scheduled milongas to further encourage participation at these review sessions. Cost: $10.
