Tango Festival at Sugarbush Farm

We will have a full day complete with hayrides, bonfire, barbecue, and
dance.   The hayrides are in horse drawn wagons.  The horses are Percherons.
They were the farmers' plough horses in the old days.  They are very big
(1,000 pounds each), tall, gentle, and very beautiful.  Sugarbush Farm is at
3620 Gotfredson Road, just north of Ford Road, in Ypsilanti.  Visit the web

directions.  Following  is the schedule for the day.

1:00pm  Arrive- Explore and enjoy the farm
1:30pm  Piñata for the kids.  Everyone, young and old, enjoys the traditional 
Mexican piñata.
2:00pm  Open salsa group class with Tonia Deliz. Children allowed!
2:00pm  Group milonga rehearsal with Angel
3:00pm  Open group tango technique class with Angel
5:00pm  Amy and Ray's barbecue -- Argentine style!
              Pollo, chorizo con chimichurri, pan, vino y gaseosas
              Tres leches cake for dessert
7:00pm  Peña.  A peña is an Argentine celebration featuring food, music,
              singing, and dance.  A peña in Argentina is a family event.  You
              are invited to share your talent with us.  Plan to participate in 
the
              show by dancing, singing, playing an instrument, performing magic 
tricks, whatever!

Admission to the Farm   $10 Adults/$5 for Children of 5 to 12
Tango Workshop with Angel    $15
Salsa Workshop with Tonia      $10
Group Milonga Rehearsal with Angel    $10
Peña with Barbecue   $25 Please reserve for barbecue by 9/16
