It is my great pleasure to announce the return of Luciana Valle to Boston
October 1-12, with a series of special tango workshops October 2-3 and 9-10.


ABOUT LUCIANA

Luciana Valle, a member of Gustavo Naveira and Fabian Salas' Tango
Investigationgroup from 1995-1997, has long been a favorite visiting
teacher of local tango dancers, beginner thr     oughadvanced.Lucianaisboth
an expert leader and follower.  She teaches with fantastic energy and
exuberance, has a wonderful eye for detail, and uses descriptive movement
images, making the dance make sense.  Her classes emphasize the technique
and structure of the dance and are equally as challenging and beneficial
for both leaders and followers.  Luciana's teaching is held in high regard
across North America, where she regularly tours to share her knowledge and
love of tango.  This is an opportunity to study with truly one of the
best.  What a special treat to have Luciana help grow our dancing for two
weeks!

1:00-2:30PM - d. Technique for Followers Part II (All) - further focus on
the follower
3:00-4:30PM - e. Tango Musicality (Int.-Adv.) - what does the music give to

1:00-2:30PM - j. Combining Changes of Directions and Sacadas - understand
the structure and you have endless combinations for the steps
3:00-4:30PM - k. Playing with the Free Leg - qualities and dynamics of the
dance
4:45-6:15PM - l. Stuck in a Rut?  Get Unstuck!  - improvisation exercises
for lead and follow

LOCATIONS/DIRECTIONS
Oct. 2, 3, 9:  Park Avenue Congregational Church in Arlington, 50 Paul
Revere Rd. (at the corner of Park Ave., 1 block south of Mass. Ave.).

By car:  from Rt. 2, take the Park Ave. exit, #58.  Head north on Park Ave.
towards Arlington Heights for 0.9 mile.  The Church is on the left at the
corner of Paul Revere Rd., one block before Mass. Ave.  The Church is also
easily accessible by car from Mass. Ave. in Arlington Heights by turning
onto Park Ave. and traveling approximately one block up the hill to the
Church on the right.  Street parking is available.

By bus:  from Harvard Sq., take the #77.  From Alewife T station, take the
#62 or the #79.  For bus schedule, please see www.mbta.com.

Oct. 10:  Church of Our Savior in Brookline, 25 Monmouth St. (at the corner
of Carleton and Monmouth Sts.).

By car:  From Beacon St. outbound, turn left on Carleton St. from Beacon
St. inbound, turn right on Carleton St.  Monmouth St. is the first cross
street, and the church is on your right.  Street parking is available.

By T:  Take a Green Line C-train (the Beacon St./ Cleveland Circle branch)
to the St. Mary's stop on Beacon Street, where the trolly first comes above
ground.  Walk up Carleton Street from Beacon, to the first corner which is
Monmouth.  You will see the church on your right.


PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons are available October 1-12.  Scheduling preference given to
those registered for group workshop(s).  Location is in Porter Sq.,
Cambridge and is accessible by T and bus lines.  Schedule in advance to
