DJ Robin Thomas Providence is probably the funkiest tango community on the east coast. lots of you ng people, lots of guys leading guys, girls leading girls, lots of great alternative and traditional music, lots of fun.The space is beautiful. It looks like a milonga, it doesn't look like a dance studio, the expansive floor is very smooth and there are couches, comfy chairs and futons! At the last New Years Eve there were visitors from Ann Arbor Michigan, Denver Colorado, Paris, New York, D.C., Philly, San Francisco, Texas, Boston and Baltimore. It's an inexpensive alternative to Nijmegen and it'sthe most fun party in the U.S.. Dinner and Dessert New Years Eve starting at 9:00PM, Ellen is a gourmet chef, her food is like nothing you've ever had in a milonga before. Lots of vegetarian options.
