This kind of movement comes from understanding how to use your body efficiently when you dance. "Body Awareness" will plant the seeds of efficient movement in your body and start you on your way to a new level of pleasure and comfort when you dance. Workshop #2, The Biomechanics of Tango What's the best position and timing for both partners in a boleo? What common structure do you need to understand for both men's and women's ganchos? What is the difference between structural necessities and aesthetics and why should I care? The answers lie in understanding the biomechanics of dancing tango. The "Biomechanics of Tango" workshop will unlock the secrets of the dance. [ SCHEDULE CHANGE ] Both workshops will be held in Phoenix, AZ, on Saturday, Jan. 15, and again in Tucson, AZ, on Sunday, Jan. 16. --------------------------------------- [ NEW ] Smart Practice: A Special Class with Marcela Trape, codeveloped with Tango Discovery master teacher Ravi Khalsa How are your practice sessions? Would you like them to be more efficient (practice less and gain more)? Are you having fun when you practice? If yes, would you like to have even more fun? Do you ever feel like your partner is to blame? Does your partner think it is you? If this never happens to you, do you want to know how to keep this problem away? If you want to get better, everyone agrees that you have to practice. But some people practice for years without getting much better. It doesn't just take practice, it takes smart practice! Using student-supplied questions and common practice scenarios, this class will help you develop strategies to solve problems when you practice and develop a plan to practice smarter, not harder. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind class. The "Smart Practice" class will be held in Phoenix, AZ, on Sunday, Jan. 23. ***
