Do not miss an opportunity to study with the teacher who has worked with
almost every professional dancer and teacher in Buenos Aires. Mimi
Santapa is known in Buenos Aires as "La Maestra de los Maestros". Her
classes in Buenos Aires are full of local dancers. Dancers of all
levels seek her out to improve their posture, form, and technique. Mimi
is famous for telling dancers that she will not teach them steps - she
will teach them how to dance.

Many dancers find that Mimi makes Argentine Tango much more simpler than
they ever thought it could be. She breaks down every movement from the
embrace to footwork. She incorporates what she calls the "Secrets of
her father - Mariano Leotera." Known as one of Argentine Tango's finest
milongueros, Mariano developed a method to teach his friends how to
dance tango. As a small child she watched him teach in the living room
of their house. His classes became so large a studio was later added to
the house. Mimi still holds classes there today.

Earlier this year the Argentine government in recognition of her
acheivements awarded Mimi the title of World Ambassador to Argentine
Tango and Culture. She was thanked by the Minister of Culture and
Tourism for all of her hard work. Mimi will tell you that she started
dancing in the stomach of her mother and has never stopped. For her
tango is a joy and passion that has been and will continue to be her
life. Her hope is to give you some of the joy she gets from "her tango."
