For those of you who have not heard, I, Lucille, am re-launching Esmeralda's as a new weekly milonga starting this very Halloween, and it will be know as ----
"ESMERALDA'S TANGO AND TAPAS MILONGA" beginning Halloween night, Sunday, Oct 31 st---- at SESSION 73--It's a club, it's a restaurant, its a tapas bar!!! 1st Ave and 73rd St, S.W. corner. It is a relaxing, perfect place for us to dance, dance, dance from 5 to 10 pm. with a salsa and swing break within the 5 hours of continuous dancing. The devil and some tangueros made me do it--and it is an upper East side community without benefit of a milonga! NOT ONLY IS THIS THE PROPITIOUS NIGHT OF HALLOWEEN to inaugurate ESMERALDA'S, --IT IS THE PROPITIOUS NIGHT TO CELEBRATE TREY PARKER'S and ANNA LEF'S BIRTHDAYS. Help celebrate with them!!!! (Anyone else out there who is celebrating their birthday on Halloween, please let me know.) Doing his DJ magical thing is D.J. Guy!! His programs are thrilling. He'll play the finest tangos for your tango-ing pleasure. Beginner lesson in a separate space 5 to 6:30 pm with the dynamic duo of Gayatri Martin and Trey Parker teaching the newcomers. $10 --This includes the class for beginners. Come in civvies, tango garb or costume up lavishly. There will be prizes for the most ridiculous &/or most astonishing wigs.
