November 19-26 with visiting tango maestro Pablo Alonso. Activities include a weekend workshop, milongas, and special classes in authentic Argentine tango. On Friday, November 19 there will be a free milonga and class by Pablo at the historic Umrath Lounge of the Washington University. Workshop classes on Saturday, November 20 will be accessible to all levels of dancers. Classes on Sunday, November 21 will be for intermediate level and above. He has toured South America, North America and Europe. At home with both close and open styles of dancing, he is known for meticulous teaching, and focuses on technique and elegance. His experience includes teaching together with Osvaldo Zotto in the legendary milonga "Club Almagro" of Buenos Aires. He also has an extensive background in acting and corporal techniques. Currently based in London, he is a member of the teaching staff at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), holds regular classes including master classes attended by teachers from all over Europe, and assists in the choreography of plays in the West End, London's theatre district.
