NUEVO AT JUEVES ANNNIVERSARY PARTY A SUCCESS! First, thanks to all of you who helped to make our Tango Jueves fourth anniversary party at the Dulaine Dance Center such a success: our guests, our fabulous food consultant, Ruby Patel, our wonderful performers, Mariana Fresno and Ney Melo, and our terrific musicians, Tito Castro and Pancho Navarro. We hope you all had as good a time as we did! Our Hot Apple Cider was such a hit that we have decided to serve it every Thursday, along with our usual array of appetizers and refreshments.
DANCING TO BEGIN EARLIER Now that we are beginning our fifth yea r,wehaveafewchangesinmind.Many people have asked if we could begin earl ier.Asanexperiment,beginning this Thursday, November 4th, and continuing through the end of December, we will discontinue our pre-milonga lesson so that dancing can begin at 9:00pm. NUEVO AND ALTERNATIVE MUSIC Every week we receive several requests to play Nuevo and alternative music. We play a lot of classic and golden age tango music, but would like to accommodate those requests, as well. Beginning this Thursday, we will be experimenting with a half hour of Nuevo and alternative music programming, from 11:30pm until midnight. If you love this music, or are simply interested in hearing more of it, come and join us â and if you have suggestions, bring them along. UPCOMING EVENTS Our annual Holiday Party will take place on Thursday, December 23rd. Mark your calendars now â more information will follow.
