Dear Tango Fanatics! Please mark your calendar for Denver's 6th Annual Tango Festival over Memorial Day weekend. Watch for good airfares; United and Frontier Airlines both have hubs in Denver and frequently offer deep-discounts.
This is a festival "By Dancers, For Dancers" with 30 hours of milongas and five days of workshops. Attendance last year was 400, (the Labor Day festival had 300 this year). I expect about 400 for the Memorial Day festival this year. Some of the dance floors will be fairly crowded but navigation at these festivals tends to be very good. The level of dancing at the Denver festivals has improved considerably each year, with many teachers and long-term dancers attending.
