November 20th 6:30 to 7:30pm VFW 501 North Richmond Avenue Appleton, Wisconsin presents an introductory Argentine Tango class with Todd Teeples and Julia Barrington This class is designed to share the history of Argentine Tango and appreciation of it's incredible music. Techniques in walking, salidas, and ochos with a focus on lead and follow.
Todd and Julia have a very special gift for sharing their love of dance. They wrote, directed, produced, and performed in "The Tango Experience", for the University of Wisconsin's Lecture and Fine Arts Series. They were guest performers with the Seattle City Sextet at the Strait of Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts, Washington. They performed as special guests of Miriam Larici and Hugo Patyn in the Los Angeles production of "Fuego Vivo". Todd and Julia have devoutly studied Argentine Tango and are regarded by their students as having a reverence for the dance, culture, and it's people. People love to watch them dance! Lesson 6:30-7:30pm $10 Dance/milonga 8-11pm $10 Appleton is a one-hour drive from Milwaukee and Madison. Bring your shoes, matte, and an empanada for Julia!
