She is renowned for her innovative and creative approaches to teaching tango, to which she brings not only her classical and modern dance training, but also her studies in Mind-Body Centering. While expert at performance style tango, she specializes in teaching close embrace, or "milonguero," style social tango. Her dancing is distinguished by a saucy playfulness, often marked by very rhythmic adornment. She is a frequent guest teacher at Dance Manhattan in New York, and has taught in cities across Europe and the United States. She is also one of the star dancers, as well as a choreographer, of the acclaimed stage production "Tango Mujer." Brigitta studied ballet and modern dance in Berlin, her home city, and in 1980 discovered tango. She studied in Argentina with such notable figures as Antonio Todaro, Virulazo, Juan Carlos Copes, Pepito Avellaneda, Cacho Dante, Eduardo Arquimbau, and Gustavo Naveira.
