December 8th thru 14th Mario Consiglieri returns to Chicago!!! sponsored by
WindyCityTango, Inc.

Please note that a .pdf version (readable with Acrobat ) is available at the
following link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chicagotango/files/MarioConsiglieriChicagoDec2004reforrmatted.pdf;
a 2-page document to be printed on legal size paper. At the end of this
e-mail, information also is provided about tango tours with Paulo Araujo and
with Cecilia Gonzalez.

Many Midwest tango students experienced Mario Consiglieri for the first
time just this past September and October, when he taught and performed in
Chicago with Cecilia Gonzalez and with Anabella Diaz-Hojman. Since then he has
delighted workshop participants and milonga attendees in several East and West
Coast cities. Finding himself in Minneapolis/St. Paul in early December, Mario
decided to pass through Chicago again this year!!!

Dynamically diverse and adept in all areas of the dance, Mario Consiglieri
has an insight into the mechanics and musicality of Argentine Tango that
distinguishes him from other instructors. Yet, this is only one aspect of what
makes him such a special teacher and dancer.

Mario s belief that the body can be used to reflect the different moods in
the music led him to investigate variations in the qualities of movement
(energy, rotation, and balance). Through this research, Mario developed a style
of dance that provokes and enables you to see and feel what he feels.

In Mario s words, With the evolution of tango music, the sophistication
of concepts and musicalities, comes a more fluid, comfortable style of dance
that has been recognized as different - when it is really just the amalgamation
of all that is possible in dance. You see, you have tango mechanics and you
have dance mechanics. What we are doing these days is mixing the two up...
adding a little flavor and spice to the form of dance known as Argentine
Tango!

Although labeled as a nuevotango pioneer, Mario s fundamentals are
grounded in the classic techniques of the history and richness of Argentine
Tango. In all of his classes, Mario shows the movements in close as well as
open embrace. Musicality is inherent in everything he teaches; Mario helps us
develop our ability to play with the rhythms and structure of the music
whether Canaro, DeSarli and D Arienzo or Pugliese, Piazolla and Caceres.

Since 2002 based in Seattle, Mario has taught throughout the U.S. as well
as in 2004 at C.I.T.A. in Buenos Aires. Mario brings his background in salsa
and hip-hop to his development of Argentine Tango, combined with an

insight and knowledge of bio-mechanics, to the salon. Mario believes that the
body can be used in many ways to reflect the different moods of the music. He
investigates variations in the qualities of the movement and then applies his
knowledge to paint on the dance floor. Phoebe & Leroy along with those of
you who experienced him earlier this year confirm that Mario is a dynamic
dancer, charismatic performer and caring as well as giving instructor.

Mario is the caretaker of Nuevotango School of Logic, the continuation of
what Gustavo Naveira and Fabian Salas began in the early 1990s: a structured
program through which to learn the Tango. Visit Mario s website at
www.nuevotango.com

Mario will be joined on this tour to Chicago by Willie Xue one of the
premier follows on the West Coast. Based out of Vancouver B.C., she has taught
with Mario in San Francisco, in Vancouver & in Buenos Aires as one of a very
few North Americans to be part of the teaching staff at Cosmotango's CITA 2004.
Mario says, Willie is a wonderful talent, with a huge heart and big grin. She
has studied with the world s top innovators and participated in some of the
greatest tango festivals of our time, often as an assistant. Willie has a huge
dance vocabulary and will use her insight to the follower s role to add
dimension to our dance partnership and teaching in Chicago.

January 13 to 20

Exotic Tango Vacations, Inc. presents TANGO BY THE SEA! with Paulo Araujo AND
Cecilia Gonzalez together on the beach in Mexico!!! Come dance and learn more
tango in a stunning and wild jungle beach resort near Puerto Vallarta. This
hidden paradise is 30 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport and 50 minutes
from downtown PV. It is in the tiny village of San Francisco, or "San Pancho,"
as the locals call it. Until 1981, the village had no electricity, and was a
simple fishing village with the natural palapa huts that are seen in many
coastal areas of Mexico. The Costa Azul resort is completely congruent with the
rustic and wild beauty of Mexican jungle, with open porches and a palapa (palm
frond and rushes) roof on the large dining area, immediately on the ocean. You
can have a margarita, watch the sunset, see the dolphins jumping, and feel
sweet sea breezes while you wait for dinner! Suites and villas are all
spacious, large enough to practice dance steps, with 2 queen beds at
least, and most have two sleeping couches as well. Villas have kitchens and
patios, rather than balconies. All accommodations have lovely ocean views.
Costa Azul offers horseback riding, sailing, snorkeling, surfing, sea kayaking,
mountain biking, hikes to a waterfall, and seasonal events. For example, in
October, the protected sea turtles were hatching eggs and heading back into the
ocean. DEADINE IS SOON - Call Christina Johnson: (601) 442-5355 or email
