Tango Zen Workshop introduces Tango Zen, an innovative yet natural idea of
meditating while dancing Tango. Referring to striking similarities between
the two, this Workshop will also introduce methods through which anyone can
practice Tango Zen to experience and enjoy the wonderful benefits, which
both Tango and Zen have to offer.

This Workshop will expose the participants to a number of exercises that may
lead them to mindfulness, a state of full awareness of oneself, one's
partner, and surroundings. The exercises, adapted from martial arts,
mediation techniques, and sports as well as Tango, involve not only physical
discipline but also one's whole attention. As a result, through the
exercises repeated over time, the participants can acquire and/or increase
sense of balance, connection, centering, groundedness, and weight shifting,
ll of which are known to be critical for tango dancing.

Listed below are the class schedule and description:

Class 1: Body moves, mind flows." 2:00 to 3:15,
