Dear Tango Dancers, Please join us January 21-24, 2005 for the 3rd edition of the Michigan Tangofest. All the details at
http://www.umich.edu/~umtango/events/festival-jan05/ This weekend of non-stop dancing will feature guest instructors Brigitta Winkler (Berlin & NYC), Alex Krebs (Portland, OR), Jaimes Friedgen (Seattle) and guest DJ Robin Thomas (NYC). Highlights of the weekend - i. 4 milongas (including an all-nighter with breakfast), practica, 10 workshops and more .... ii. All at a price of $40 (full-time students)/ $80 (non-students) iii. Limited housing with local dancers is available for out-of-town dancers who register and pay before January 18. AND iv. Dancers from Ann Arbor and suburbs of Detroit - fast gaining a reputation for being die-hard when it comes to dancing at milongas. Ann Arbor also attracts a small but increasing and significant share of "tango gypsies" that travel to the major festivals across the country.
