January 28-30, 2005
Argentine Tango Workshop with Brigitta Winkler in Pittsburgh

January 29: Milonga with DJ Manuk Colakyan

Pittsburgh welcomes back Brigitta Winkler for an innovative weekend of tango
classes and a Saturday night milonga, January 29, with DJ Manuk Colakyan.

Both Brigitta and Manuk are coming straight from the Ann Arbor Fire & Ice
TangoFest -- we are sure to benefit! And, Manuk is going to pilot his new slide
show, projecting song titles and images of famous tango orchestras in sync with
his playlist.

Brigitta (Berlin and Manhattan) has been teaching tango worldwide for over 20
years. Equally fluent in both open and close embrace tango, she is a master
teacher who crafts entertaining and effective classes. Her teaching is also
informed by her training in classic and modern dance, somatic awareness,
mind-body centering, and expressive movement. She prizes playful communication,
intimacy, musicality and self-expression no less than technique.

This workshop marks Brigitta’s third visit to Pittsburgh. She taught with
Tomas Howlin in 2004; she taught here and performed at the Byham Theatre with
Tango Mujer in 2000; she also taught here with Michael Wizer in 1996. For more
