Technically, clubs and Milongas could open today (or perhaps it was
yesterday), but that's if they passed the inspection with a clean bill
of health. It appears that most if not all the Milonga venues have been
inspected during the 15 days alloted for that activity. Those few that
passed without any changes have already been open. Others that needed to
make some renovations will need some days to weeks to do so, and will
need another inspection before they will be permitted to operate. The
ones I talked to seemed to be optimistic about opening sometime this
month. I had earlier reported on El Beso and La Nacional (the latter is
open tonight). Here are some more updates:

- Porteqo y Bailarin has to do some renovation work to reopen, but not
too much remains. They are hoping to reopen as early as this Sunday, but
that may be optimistic.

- Salon Canning, earlier rumours to the contrary notwithstanding, does
not appear to need to replace their floor. They need to replace the
flooring *around* the wood floor (probably some sub-standard material
from a fire-retardancy standpoint) and some material on the wall for the
same reason, but even here they believe that applying a fire-retardant
solution topically will satisfy the requirements. They hope to be open
later this month too.

I will only post some significant updates here. For day-to-day updates,
please see the Buenos Aires Milongas page:
