A recent ruling by the government has declared Milongas to be exempt from closure rulings as a "cultural entity."
Accordingly, the demonstration/Milonga at the Obelisco has been CANCELLED, as reported by El Tangauta on behalf of the Organizadores del Milongas. As reported by Alberto Gesualdi on Tango-L, Milongas have to be registered as such so that others don't try to take advantage of this exception. Accordingly, it is still not clear when established Milongas will actually open (i.e., is it automatic, or needs some type of inspection and approval?).
