"Do what you have always done, get what you have
always gotten." Hence, I have made some changes.

Let4s move past the more frivolous (but hardly
insignificant) details such as mind-blowing tango shoe
shopping, ice creams to die for, and dancing and
dining out every night in order to get to the essence
of what makes a Tanguera Tour different from the rest.

A Tanguera Tour puts the woman in the spot light by
offering only classes with strict emphasis on women4s
technique in argentine tango. Honestly, why lose time
and money to be just another warm body for the men to
lead around in pattern after pattern. Many of us
understand that this happens in a majority of tango
group classes? In these 13 hours of classes you will
learn techniques invaluable to your dancing including
balance, footwork, pivots, boleos, and using adornos
effectively.

Don4t get lost in the huge impersonal throngs of the
milongas in Buenos Aires all alone. Experience Buenos
Aires in a tight knit group of other fun like-minded
tango dancing women with whom you can interchange
encouragement, share unique moments, and amplify the
enjoyment of your trip.

Leave the troublesome and time-consuming details of
trip planning and logistics both before and during the
trip to someone who knows. Count on me for the
individualized planning to make your time here well
spent. Whether you are a museum junky, a die-hard
shopper, just looking for some down time, I want to
help realize your wishes and not have you be a slave
to an overly-structured tour agenda. This tour is
designed to be flexible to your own rhythm.

I realize as I glance back on the last 5 Tanguera
Tours that one of the greatest gifts of these tours is
that, as a bonded group of women, we end up learning
as much from one another as we do from our tango
classes. With our varied levels and experiences of
tango we help each other see sides of tango, dancing,
and its related social issues that may not have
otherwise occurred to us. Off each other we bounce
practical tips as well as emotional insights that can
help us enrich our tango experience.

My idea with forming the tour was that it could be an
open forum for women in the dance--A chance for them
to express themselves more on and off the dance floor,
a chance to have more control in their learning and
social experience at the milongas. In this tour, the
woman is the protagonist, the main character, because
we really do SO much more than "follow." You will
learn dance tools that make you a noticeably improved
dancer for yourself and your dance partners.

So whether you are a married, single, a mother, a
grandmother, divorced, widowed this tour offers you a
chance to focus inwards on YOU amongst the
inspiration, diversion, and friendship of the others
that you will meet on the tour.
