A)8:30-10:00pm: Int/Adv Rhythmic turns in close embrace Price: $25 One of the most dynamic tango couples of the new generation, Mariana & Ney will give a special workshop on turns this Friday at Rhythm & Motion, direct from their appearance at the Valentango Festival in Portland, Oregon. They are effective teachers who use innovative teaching methods and the nuevo tango principles to effectively explain the close-embrace style of tango danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires. Mariana’s career includes roles in the show "Buenos Aires Tango" in Tokyo, and in the movies “Evita”, “El Sueño de los Héroes”, and “Canción Desesperada” among others. She toured Chile with Osvaldo Zotto's group and taught tango workshops in Nora’s Tango Week, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Mexico, and Denmark.
