Caleb and Ting of Liquidtango, currently residing and teaching in NYC, will be doing a guest exhibition tonight at the All Night Milonga, the BEAT, 9th and Dwight, in Berkeley, at midnight.
Caleb and Ting of" Liquidtango" dance to inspire the soul. They are in the forefront of the new generation of progressive, innovative young dancers, having received intensive training from Naveira and Salas. Their mesmerizing connection, innovative style and devotion to evolution of the dance is unique. Their dancing is expansive and elastic but also emotionally powerful. They use a simple proven structure to enable their students to improvise and develop a style of their own. Their students uncanny knowledge of the dance allows them in turn to contribute to the evolution of tango. Caleb and Ting impart to their students the emotional resonance they feel for each other and the music. They are currently based in NYC at Empire Dance where they teach weekly classes and host a practica centered around generating new ideas. Their NYC milonga is in the Liquid Lounge.
