Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Tango, I have been receiving an overwhelming number of phone calls and e-mails regarding our Annual Memorial Day Festival with Julio Balmaceda and Corina de la Rosa in Denver, Colorado, May 24-30, 2005.
Currently, I am in Buenos Aires and so I will not be returning the phone calls until I return at the end of March. Last night Julio and Corina performed at Salon Canning to live guitar music by Gregory Nisnevich, and the crowd went absolutely wild! It was an amazing night, not only at Canning where what seemed like the whole world of tango has gathered, but also later in the night at La Viruta a couple of blocks away where Chicho was performing with Eugenia, also to the same enormous crowd, some of whom migrated from Canning. Julio and Corina are leaving Buenos Aires in a week, but they will be teaching their last two classes at Villa Malcolm on Tuesday and Friday of this coming week at 9PM. They are very exited that they will be in Denver at the end of May. If you are not in Buenos Aires now, we hope you join us in Denver during our Memorial Day Festival. Our festival has been very crowded the last couple of years and it will be even bigger this coming May!
