Susana Miller will be in Chicago from April 13-20. She will have full day of
workshops on Saturday, April 16th and April 17th. We are getting to the limit
of attendees for the workshops, so if you plan on attending please let me know
as soon as possible. I will be giving priority to people who register for the
full workshops or for a full day of classes.
Susana also has a limited number of privates available, primarily on Tuesday,
April 19th and possibly Wednesday, April 20th.
SUSANA MILLER APRIL 16-17 WORKSHOPS
Saturday, April 16, 2005,
12:00-1:30 A: The Backbone of Tango (all levels) Posture, balance,
axis, walking and embrace; hearing and feeling the music, rhythm,
rhythmic walking, basic choreography, including changes of direction
in apilado frame.
2:00-3:30 B: How to build perfect dance floor movement (all levels)
Working with the basic elements on a small dance floor, which parts
of the mans body move to lead the woman. There are no steps in
social tango, only situations.
4:00-5:30 C: Lead and follow techniques (intermediate) Posture,
connection, leading and following technique for balance. Includes
ochos and basic turns.

12-1:30 D : Musicality variations (intermediate) Musicality and
rhythmic variations according to the orchestra
2:00-3:30 E: Turning on a Dime (advanced) connection, velocity and
turning on a dime Choreographic bridges to combine figures including
sacadas and boleos, with variations according to the music.
4:00-5:30 F: Sacadas (advanced) The sacada from all types of figures.

SPECIAL WORKSHOPS
UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO WORKSHOPS
The University of Chicago will be hosting Susana Miller next Wednesday, April
13th, from 7-9pm, for a milonguero or "apilado" fundamentals workshops. The
workshop will be for the new, beginner, and advanced beginner dancer; but all
levels are welcome. The workshops will be held at Ida Noyes, East Lounge on the
second floor, at the University of Chicago, 1212 E. 59th Street, Chicago. $10

LADIES TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP
Susana Miller will be teaching a special Women's technique workshop prior to
the Milonga at Mariposa. The cost of the workshops will be $20 for individuals
who have registered for the Susana Miller April 16 or 17 workshops and $25 for
all others. The workshops will be from 7:00-8:30pm. The milonga starts at 9pm
