We are very happy to announce that the 2nd Annual Boston Tango Festival is
taking shape. The event will take place between 15-19 June (Wed-Sun) 2005.
This year, we are pleased to hold events primarily in 2 venues. Most Day
classes will take place at the Boston Ballet, located in the heart of the South
End and the Theatre District in Boston. This venue is easily accessible by
Boston's famous subway system (the T), which is safe, clean and air
conditioned, as well as by car. For the evening Milongas, there will be 1
milonga at sea, a "Moonlight Tango Milonga Cruise" (Yes! there will be a
full-moon that evening) on Friday on the Atlantic Ocean. There will also be 4
Milongas by land to take place in 1 location, the famous American Repertory
Theatre's (ART) Zero Arrow Theatre, located at the heart of Harvard Square in
Cambridge. The Zero Arrow Theatre is ART's black box theatre, and it is
situated at Harvard University, just 2 blocks from the famous Harvard Lampoon
Castle (home of the creators of Saturday Night Live & MAD Magazine). For those
familiar with Boston's summer Tango outdoor event, 'Tango by Moonlight,' on the
Weeks Footbridge across the Charles River, the Theatre is located just 2 blocks
from the corner of Memorial Drive and & DeWolfe Street. Like the Boston
Ballet, the Zero Arrow Theatre is easily accessible by the Subway and there are
numerous award winning restaurants in historic "Old Cambridge" at the heart of
America's oldest and most prestigeous university. In the coming weeks, we will
give you additional updates on special festival rates for accomodations in
Cambridge near Harvard University for our out-of-town guests, as well as
accomodations in Boston near the Boston Ballet. Please make your plans now for
the most exciting new Tango Festival in America's oldest and most historic
city. For more information, including updated list of Argentine Masters and
Performers and for VENDORS, please check the Boston Tango Festival's website at
