CINCO DE MAYO AT JUEVES THIS WEEK - 5/5/05 Five will be our lucky number at Jueves this Thursday, May 5th-Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army in 1862 and not the country's independence, as most people believe. Although the French were the ultimate victors in this war, their defeat in this historic battle was a major turning point in Mexican history. We hope you will join us this week as we celebrate with wonderful dancing, good music and our own spin on Cinco de Mayo treats, Ruby's delicious homemade guacamole and Ellen's intoxicatingly good Margarita Cake.
