El Conventillo de Lujo is open for business!
Amy and Ray, organizers of the Latin & Argentine Tango Club of Detroit, now
offer deluxe lodging in a brand new, completely furnished condominium in the
quiet, secure Belgrano area of Buenos Aires "con sabor a tango". For the
remainder of this year we are offering the special rates of $40 per day for
a one bedroom apartment and $60 per day for a two bedroom. We will also
work with group organizers to give an even more favorable rate depending
upon the number of people and length of time. We are working on our web

El Conventillo de Lujo features six individual apartments, three two-bedroom
and three one-bedroom on three floors. Each apartment has a full kitchen,
bathroom, and living room with an area for breakfast. The kitchen is fully
equipped, i.e. refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, blender,
toaster, china and silverware, etc. The modern bathroom has a large vanity,
mirror, and lots cabinets and drawers for storage. The living room is
tastefully decorated and has a balcony the can be used for reading or just
relaxing in the shade of the trees. The bedroom(s) have large closets and
double and single beds with top of the line mattresses. Each apartment has
air conditioning, heat, and lots of lighting. Our condominium has a total
covered area of 630 meters, approximately 4,000 feet.
Each apartment has windows opening into a beautiful glass covered atrium
that is used as a common area for all our guests. In the atrium is a dance
studio, a magnificent barbecue covering a full wall with a chimney extending
to the roof, and a unique kitchen with a gas stove, grill, pizza oven, and a
large refrigerator. There is a sleeping room off the atrium and a large
bathroom that is fully equipped for handicapped people. We also have
laundry facilities including washer, dryers, and ironing board off the
atrium for your convenience. You can do you own laundry or leave it to our
manager for full service.
The Atrium is our favorite area. The studio features a large wood dance
floor, sliding doors, big screen TV, and state of the art audio equipment.
The common area is patio tile and joins the dance floor to make one large
dance area in desired. This is the perfect area for groups to get together
for breakfast and plan the day. We also can arrange barbecues (parrillas)
for groups. The Atrium is available to all our guests to dance, dine,
relax, party, whatever. We designed the Atrium with the intention of making
all our guests part of our family during their stay in Buenos Aires. The
Atrium makes our building more than a condominium. It makes it a
Conventillo!
Our managers, Susana and Cachi, are very accommodating, beautiful people.
They are eager to do everything they can to make your stay in the city they
love enjoyable. They have lived in Buenos Aires and have been involved in
all aspects of tango all their lives. The will make their wealth of
knowledge available to you.
