TANGO RENDEZVOUS FESTIVAL (20-29 May 2005) Singapore History Museum, Riverside Point
Tango Singapore is proud to present the first public festival celebrating tango in all its forms, for both the interested non-dancer and die-hard tangueros alike. This 10-day exhibition features tango images, artifacts, fashion and music, as well public talks and performances (on weekends 3 pm) on history, dance, music and travels. A 2-day dance workshop by Esteban Cortez and Evelyn Rivera (Uruguay) is held for new dancers, on 21-22 May. At night milongas are hosted for the public to meet the maestros, as well as the local dance community. So, come on by and join us! Exhibition: Free. Workshops -SGD $20. Milongas $10 - $20 (SGD).
