WindyCityTango, Inc. announces the premier visit of
Gaston Gago to Chicago - June 22 thru 25, 2005

Confident and secure beyond his years, Gaston Gago has
endeared a loyal following wherever hes taught.
Gaston lived in Florida for some time as a young adult
and so impressed growing communities, particularly in
Sarasota and Tampa / St. Petersburg, with his dancing
and teaching that they followers and leaders seek
Gaston out for additional instruction when they visit
Buenos Aires. Angie, the principal tango promoter in
Sarasota with her husband Mike, commented on her
appreciation of the cleanness and crispness of
Gastons technique and communication. Other dancers
mention experiencing Gastons controlled energy.
Gaston studied with many familiar masters of Argentine
tango, including: Mingo & Esther Pugliese, Miguel
Angel Zotto, Osvaldo Zotto, Gustavo Naveira & Gisselle
Anne, Fabian Salas & Carolina del Rivero, Milena
Plebs, Ezequiel Farfaro, as well as numerous old
milongueros.
With this foundation, Gaston expanded on traditional
milonguero style with the veracity of his youth.
Since 2002, his primary studio has been with Gabriel
Angio & Natalia Games in Buenos Aires. Gaston has
performed at Salon Canning, Sunderland, Niqo Bien, El
Cachafaz, Confiteria Ideal, Viejo Correo and Sin Rumbo
(where he teaches on a regular basis). In 2004,
Gaston was awarded as the premier male dancer of "New
Generation".
International respect for Gastons youthful
interpretation of the traditional style is growing,
having instructed in Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal
and Paraguay in addition to teaching
workshops in Sarasota, New York, New Jersey and
Atlanta. After Chicago, Gaston will teach in San
Jose, Costa Rica before returning to Buenos Aires.
WCT, Inc. first encountered Gaston as an assistant for
C.I.T.A. classes in 2002; he has returned to these
duties and as a taxi dancer each year; he recently
joined the staff of TangoFantasy (Miami Beach) in the
same capacities. Phoebe reports that Gaston
consistently is a favorite partner; Gastons lead is
so secure and yet tender, bringing fresh depth to
close embrace. He radiates confidence with his
impeccable technique and creative movements. After
dancing with Gaston again at TangoFantasy, I couldnt
resist bringing him here. Please join me in welcoming
Gaston to Chicago!!!
