Using very simple tango vocabulary, we will focus on improving your embrace & musicality. 3:00 - 4:30pm Advanced Beginner's $25.00 "Torsion - the secret tango ingredient" So many beginners try to lead with their hand & arms, but the lead really comes from the body. To master this we will work on isolating the rotation of the shoulders & hips & how this is incorporated in your dance 4:30 - 5:30pm Lecture/discussion "Building a successful tango community" Free 8:00 - 11:00pm Milonga at Margaret's home Sunday, July 10, 2005 Note: This floor is tacky. Workshop at Buckman Performing and Fine Arts Ctr, 60 Perkins Ext. 1:00 - 2:30pm Intermediate/Advanced $25.00 "The ebb and flow of tango" This class will discuss navigation & focus on steps that move around the floor in line of dance, rather than stagnate in one spot on the floor. 3:00 - 4:30pm Intermediate/Advanced $25.00 "Vals crusada - Clay's favorite!" I never get tired of waltz, but in tango, it's extra special because of the complex rhythm structures that can be used. Again, we will focus on steps & techniques that flow around the dance floor.
