Mariella Franganillo, a wonderful and talented instructor from Argentina and an
ex-bay area resident, will be partnering Jorge Torres.
Gustavo Rosa, a young rising star of the tango scene in Buenos Aires and veteran
of several stage shows there and in Europe, will be partnering Guillermina
Quiroga.
This year Tango Week has moved to the Clarion Hotel at San Francisco Airport.
The hotel ballroom features a spacious and beautiful dance floor. Nightly
milongas will feature a performance every night by different teachers. Saturday,
July 2nd, is 40's night and a new addition, ¡Los Locos 20's!, will be on Tuesday
July 5th.
Music for each milonga will be provided by "Notable Tango" featuring Seth
Asarnow on Bandoneon, Enrique Coria on Guitar, and Greg Kehret on bass. Vocalist
Marcelo Ledesma from Rosario Argentina will be performing with them. In
addition, the nightly milongas will feature three great bay area DJ's: Roberto
Riobo, "Polo"Talnir, and Emilio Flores.
