JUEVES THIS WEEK - 7/7/05 Summer is really here! Our Independence Day(s) Imaginary Beach Party Milonga held last week was a great success - thanks to all of you who really got into the spirit of things and made it the fun evening it was meant to be. And thanks to Mariana Fresno, our wonderful guest DJ, for an evening of terrific music!
This Thursday, why not give your feet a treat? Come and tango with us at Jueves, the weekly milonga at the Dulaine Dance Center, and enjoy our beautiful 2000 square foot sprung hardwood dance floor, lots of good music, delicious refreshments and our warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you have not been here for while, we miss you! REMEMBERING CARLOS GAVITO: On July 1, 2005 the tango world lost one of its greatest ambassadors, Carlos Gavito. A fine dancer and a charismatic teacher, he touched the tango lives of many of us in New York. This Thursday, we will be remembering him as a performer and teacher, by showing videos of some of his performances and classes. They will be playing all evening on the VCR in our lounge, so please take a moment to watch and remember a great maestro at work. What: TANGO JUEVES Who: Hosted by Ellen Sowchek When: Every Thursday.
