Blue Tango in Buenos Aires
==========================
A Film Diary by Alexandra Prusa
Tango makes the soul move, and that is what I miss when I am not
dancing.
And so I keep asking myself, what the essence of this persistent
need is?
Of this crave for transcendence through dance.
Maybe it’s merely a kind of longing – just longing.
/ Alexandra Prusa
For twenty years the Zurich artist with cosmopolitan roots has
engaged in all aspects of the Argentinian tango. With her film “Blue
Tango in Buenos Aires” she is now taking stock as well as embarking
on a new beginning in her passionate relationship with tango as a
dance, as music, and with its native city Buenos Aires.
In her film journal, Alexandra Prusa seeks out the people and the
town of Buenos Aires, as well as the places and questions relating to
her lifelong theme, and she does so with the same curiosity and as
receptively as the first time when she fell in love with the tango.
“Blue Tango in Buenos Aires” is a modern music and dance documentary
about the world capital of tango, offering a great experience even to
younger audiences who are not necessarily familiar with the theme.
