The dynamics of lead and follow -
An intensive workshop on the relationship between you and your partner
and how movement, body mechanics, placement, focus, and resistance can
dramatically improve your dance. Purely for those who want to improve
their technique - not learn steps. All levels welcome.

Date and Time: Saturday, August 6, 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
Place: DC JCC, 1529 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036
Fee: $20 per person and $35 per couple

Jackie will do DJ that evening at the milonga following the workshop. (See

Jackie's bio
Jackie is an Argentine Tango Teacher, Performer and DJ whose dance and
movement background and love for Tango has enabled her to become one
of the region's best tango technicians for leaders and followers.

She has taught in the Berkshires Area, at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA,
at the Lorraine Michaels Studio in Albany, for BrATTS in Brattleboro
Vermont, at the Dance Flurry in Saratoga Springs NY, for Albany Tango,
for Northampton Tango, in Sherbrooke Canada, Circle of Life in East
Hartford, Chicago and Champaign Urbana Illinois, Washington D.C. and
in Beijing China.

Jackie is also the Founder of Tango Pulse, a popular Argentine tango
website and host for milongas and workshops. http://www.tangopulse.net

As a DJ, Jackie focuses on connection and musicality, taking dancers
on a musical journey, with selections that invariably becomes
everyone's favorite music. Her love of the music and sense of
adventure is what makes her milongas so distinctive! She has the
innate ability to read the room and choose what's right for the
moment, so that dancers seem to never want to leave the floor!

Jackie is very responsive to the needs of each individual community,
programming music to reflect the community's taste. Her selections
"speak to the heart". They range from the most beautiful traditional
tango classics to exciting nuevo and alternative tango which leads
tangueros/as to discover a whole new dimension in their dance.

Jackie has gained a reputation throughout the country as an in-demand
DJ attuned to dancers needs. She has DJ'd at Triangulo in NYC and
across the East Coast, including Albany, Woodstock and Saratoga
Springs NY; in Hartford CT; Boston, Lenox and Northampton MA;
Brattleboro VT; Sherbrooke Canada; Durham NC; in Chicago and Champaign
IL; Washington DC; St. Louis MI: and in Buenos Aires!
