Dear Alberto, I am so very sorry to hear of the losses you, Valorie, and so many others have experienced from this latest devastating storm.
I think of you often and miss you both very much. I wish there were something I could do from this distance to aid your circumstances. I think it was a very right and noble thing to do to continue holding your tango activities. It provided an outlet that I am sure is helping many people through this crisis. And it cannot have been easy to do in light of your own feelings of shock and loss. (As well as criticisms that others will make that it is "frivolous" to be thinking of dancing in the middle of disaster.) I experienced something similar on a much smaller scale after the earthquake in the fall of '89, when my friends and I continued to plan and hold a Halloween party and a Victorian ball, too. They were healthy outlets and diversions for all of us and did help us "carry on." I hope you can find a way to disregard the misplaced words of the ignorant commentator below in the midst of all your other trials. May God have mercy on your putrefacting soul, when you use the misery and misfortune of others (which includes us, as we have lost every single possession we ever had and have no where to go) to make a public admission about the ugliness and evil nature of the disease that's rotting your soul, just because you can't hold on to your hatredness and seem to rejoice in flaunting as a disgusting badge of honor. This answer is not for you, scum of the human race, but for everyone else who have understood our loss of everything we ever had, except our lives, our friends and the insane fortune of being two (out of 1.9 million people scattered around the south without a job, without a home, without a place to return to), who carry our jobs with us, and have the fortune of having an extended family who is opening their hearts, their homes, and their lives to ameliorate some of the emptiness and irrational fear and terror with which walk befuddled and stranded the face of the earth right now. Actually, I'm going to take back my initial wish for God to have mercy on you, because He has more important and more worthy human beings to take care of. You may rot in hell as far as I know.
