First Rio Tango Festival Rio de Janeiro, Brasil Sept 30th -Oct 11th, 2005 I know the organizers and many of the teachers for this festival and am very impressed with them, so I highly recommend this new festival. Rio is one of the most incredibly beautiful and exciting cities in the world with gigantic white sand beaches in a backdrop of verdant mountains. The people are very friendly, the seafood is among the best in the world, and you will have the opportunity to learn both tango and the Brazilian dances of samba and forro. Some more unusual aspects of this festival include 3 shows including a "mulatas show", 2 plays, classes on relaxation and therapy through tango, and a poetry tango meeting.
