Chesbay Tango invites you to join in a weekend of Argentine Tango with teachers ANNE-SOPHIE and PABLO of Washington, DC, and tangueros from Virginia, North Carolina, the District and beyond. GULDEN OZEN and JASON LAUGHLIN of Tangophilia in the North Carolina Triangle will be on hand, too, and Jason will DJ the Saturday milonga with his exciting mix of traditional, contemporary, and alternative tango music. As teachers and performers, Anne-Sophie and Pablo bring the dynamic, eclectic nature of the tango front and center. Hallmarks of the traditional tango style, like the partners deep connection and elegant movements, mingle effortlessly in their dances with the athletic power and speed of the nuevo stylewhich makes for performances as subtle as they are thrilling.
