At the East Village Ukrainian Restaurant Dance 7:30 to 12:00 THANKS THANKS THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME TO THE OPENING NIGHT FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE DISASTER VICTIMS--I am sending everything to places recommended by people who have actually gone down there to do relief work! * And thanks to ARMANDO ORZUZA for the masterly teaching job-- and who will be coming back to us soon. We received so many compliments on the classes which were unusually large for a first week. And 140 Second Ave is 1/2 block around the corner from the former residence of ASTOR PIAZZOLLA , 2 blocks from LEXA ROSEAN who teaches our beginner class at 6:30, 3 blocks from our famous, and much loved neighbor, REBECCA SCHULMAN who luckily for us all, is making herself available to teach the int/adv class for us at 7:30!!! (TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY IF YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED HER CLASSES!) And just 4 blocks from me who will mostly munch on the best pierogi. ALEX O. and REBECCA S. will DJ and will, therefore, be making beautiful music together! It will be imaginative, classical, playful, and thoroughly tango-danceable! Come enjoy! IF FOOD MATTERS, READ ON: And there were lots of compliments on the exceedingly reasonable, delicious food-- blintze mavens agreed that at this Ukrainian restaurant they are outstanding. Others were happy with the gargantuan chicken plate for under $10. Gayatri "La Boca" Martin raved about the cheesecake.
