2) TOMAS HOWLIN TEACHING THURSDAY AT EMPIRE DANCE!
While they are teaching in Portland, Tomas Howlin will
be teaching all of Robin & Jennifer's classes this
Thursday from 6pm - 9pm.

Tomas Howlin is a professional Argentine Tango dancer,
performer and teacher. Each of his movements is deeply
inspired by the traditional esthetic that have
characterized the style and elegance of this dance for
the past sixty years.
He is a patient and devoted teacher with a unique
method and approach.

Tomas was born and grew up in Buenos Aires where he
studied with some of the most renowned master teachers
of all generations, such as Graciela Gonzalez, Gustavo
Naveira, Jose Brahemcha, Puppy Castello, Pepe
Avellaneda and Vanina Bilous. His learning and
teaching experience is complete and exceptional.

He has the honor to have partnered Graciela Gonzalez,
Florencia Taccetti, Brigitta Winkler, Luciana Valle,
Silvana Grill and Chantal Dauphinais.

Tomas is among the few teachers traveling worldwide
who taught regularly in the most well known Academies
of Buenos Aires. Furthermore, he is a regular
participant at international Festivals in Europe and
the US.

He worked for the "National University of Buenos
Aires", and for the "Secretary of Culture of the
Government of the City of Buenos Aires".

During the last year Tomas has been performing and
teaching in Canada and in the U.S.A. He was
instrumental in the filming of the tango film "Macadam
Tango". The great highlight was being chosen to dance
for the "Summit of the Americas" in Quebec City, with
presence of the heads of state of 34 countries,
including President George W. Bush and Dr. Fernando de
la Rua, President of Argentina.

4) JANUARY 2006 "EL ABRAZO" TANGO TOUR!
January 20 - 28, 2006

We are at 50% enrollment for the January Tour which
will take place January 20 - 28, 2006!

Join your hosts Ney Melo and Jennifer Bratt for a week
of dancing, learning, dining, making friends, shopping
and exploring in the mecca of Tango - Buenos Aires
Argentina. We will share with you what we love about
the city, take you to the teachers we most respect and
have learned the most from, guide you to the milongas
we actually go to ourselves, seat you amongst our
friends, bring you to our favorite restaurants and to
the stores we buy our own shoes and clothing at. This
is not a trip for tourists, but for serious dancers
who want to spend a week seeing Buenos Aires through
our eyes and living like we do as tango addicts! Ney
and Jennifer will be spending 3 months this year in
Buenos Aires (November, December and January). Join us
for a week during this time and experience the city as
we do. Our focus will be on dancing and learning tango
(and eating well!), and having the most fun
possible while doing so!
