Buenos Aires Tango Tour "Your Way" --- A new Twist on
BsAS Tango Tours
January 14-23, 2006
(Co-Ed tour!)
Perhaps as in the tango, you like to improvise on your
vacation according to the weather or to your whims.
Here's a tango tour that lets you plan on the fly,
providing both the freedom to be independent at times
while still having in tact the classic basics of a
good tango tour. We think you want more than to be
another lemming in the parade of tourists seeing half
of which interests you and half of which bores you
stiff.
There is an alternative !
-- A Tango Tour "Light" (Hosted by Laura Chummers and
Anne Midon)
* No more complicated busing around (almost all core
activities to the tour are in one 4 block radius of
the lodging)
* No complicated schedules
* No heavy guide books
* No exhausting marathons of tango classes
* No more being prisoner to your group thanks to your
own private cellular phone connected to the tour hosts
at all time so you don't miss a beat (well, just the
ones you want to!)
Stick to the basics :
* SLEEP:
Great lodging at a early 19th century mansion bed
and breakfast La Otra Orilla
(http://www.otraorilla.com.ar/) in the peaceful
neighborhood of Palermo Viejo. Lodging with kitchen,
internet, and complete with patio
garden where we can enjoy long breakfasts, sunbathe,
and sip wine at our dinner parties on the summer
evenings before going to the milongas.
(The house sleeps a total of 12. So don't wait to
secure your spot!)
* EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY:
- Gala Dinner Show at Esquina Carlos Gardel (the
night you choose is FLEXIBLE)
- 4 in-house dinner parties with optional
cooking class for those interested in learning about
Argentine cuisine (complete with wine and cocktails),
- Farewell Asado/BBQ with the Tour Team
* EXERCISE:
- daily mini-group tango classes in house (by
Luis Bianchi)
- Nightly excursions to the most frequented
milongas (reserved tables and your guru4s company and
guidance)
* SURPRISES in Store:
In the hands of your tour gurus you will experience
some treasures of this city--whether that be a cozy
neighborhood tango bar loved and protected by the
locals or wine tasting under the tutelage of one of
BsAs respected sommeliers.
OPTIONAL: "PLUG AND PLAY" when you FEEL LIKE IT!
* Private dance classes
* Day Excursions: Historically and culturally
important neighborhoods of Recoleta, San Telmo, La
Boca, Palermo, delta town of Tigre, and more
* Select night Excursions: Opera Night at the
Colon, Folklore Dancing, Spanish Flamenco, Night on
Porteqo Broadway, and more. Go where the portenos
choose to go.
SOLUTIONS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS:

gurus you needn4t worry about the the language
barrier, navigating the city, or missing out on last
minute opportunities. With your own personal cell

make your plans, reservations, adjustments, get help
with translations, and inquiries, while we too can
inform you of last minute changes or announce

about the latest purchase you made in an artisan fair
or to relay important schedule changes, real-time
communication is valuable. Also, imagine the headaches
you will save in being able to locate your travel
partners and travel team anywhere and anytime.
We want you as foot loose and fancy free in your
