Mario Consiglieri has restablished himself as the new rising star of the
Nuevo Tango (under the tutelage of Fabian Salas, Gustavo Naveira and Chicho
Frumbolli), further developing a style of the dance which incorporates
innovative steps with creative musicality, fluidity, and an increased
capacity for self-expression. In 2004, Mario became the first North
American instructor invited to teach at Congreso Internacional de Tango
Argentino (CITA) held in Buenos Aires, every March. Since 2002, Mario has
proved himself to be a dedicated and popular teacher - traveling around the
United States giving workshops and performances. His belief that the body
can be used in many ways to reflect the different moods in the music, has
led him to investigate variations in the qualities of movement, then
applying his knowledge to paint movements on the floor, much like an artist
would on his canvas. Dynamically diverse and adept in all areas of the
dance, Mario Consiglieri has an insight into the mechanics and musicality
of Tango that sets him apart from the crowd. This is what makes him such a
special teacher and dancer.

Anabella Diaz-Hojman is an incredibly talented dancer and instructor. She
has performed and taught with Mario Consiglieri in Syracuse, NY, as well as
NYC, NY. She has also partnered with Pablo Inza and Fabrizio Forti in
Buenos Aires, Argentina - her hometown. Dancing since she was a child,
Anabella has studied contemporary dance, martial arts, and most recently
done intensive study with Chicho & Eugenia, the contemporary masters of
Tango Nuevo. She is one of the most beloved social dancers in Buenos Aires,
and has an incredible sensitivity as a follower. Her knowledge of the
dynamics of dance, and musicality, make her an specially valuable asset in
a classroom. In 2004, Anabella toured major cities within the US with
Mario, and in Europe with Pablo Inza.
