Passing through St. Francisville Louisiana, a town of  historic beauty, we
will arrive Natchez before 6PM; in time to see night fall over the
Mississippi River.  An 8PM class and 9PM milonga will be held in a  glorious
turn of the century  gallery, Different Accents. There are many choices (see
below) of lovely places to stay, all a part of the history of Natchez, from
antebellum mansion to graceful victorian-style. These picks are all giving
discounts for tango participants, and were chosen for excellent service,
friendliness, and proximity to downtown.

 Dec. 29: 
10-11:30AM: Tango class
You may choose to visit one or more of the many ante-bellum homes that have
daily tours. Go on a carriage ride, roam the antique stores, or stay in your
own beautiful room and rest!
3PM-4:30PM class, 4:30-6PM class, 8-9PM class; 9:30-midnight milonga.

Dec. 30:
10-11AM class, 11:15-12:30 class
Hot Chocolate and Tango: a surprise happening: 2:30-3:30PM
4:00-5:00PM class, 6PM: Special presentation on ³The
Parallel Histories of Jazz and Tango² with slides, music, lecture, dance.
8:00PM, class. Milonga 9-midnight.

Dec. 31: Early class: 9:30-10:30 AM
11:00AM a trip to the Natchez Trace, the 444 mile original trade route from
1785 to 1820 for settlers and Choctaw, Chickasaw and other American Indians
They sold their cargo and boats on the river ports and began the trek back
north on foot to Nashville and points beyond. (www.scenictrace.com) We will
just go in a few miles to Emerald Mound, an ancient ceremonial place. Place
your prayers and wishes in a ceremony at the Mound, to bring you a
fulfilling new year. (Weather permitting, we'll picnic on the Trace).
Classes: 4 PM and 5:15 PM
FANCY and elegant dinner at Dunleith Plantation! Live tango music! New
Year's milonga at DA gallery till 1:00AM

Jan. 1: Group southern breakfast (and GRITZ!) till 10:00AM at The Castle
restaurant at Dunleith Plantation.
SPECIAL CLASS: with all teachers for beginning of 2006, 2PM!
Class 3:30PM, 5:00PM. 6:30PM dinner buffet and milonga at Centre City Grill,
till 10PM.

Jan. 2: Bus transportation leaves (location TBA) at 9:00AM.
