We will also have a special FREE milonga on Thursday, Feb 16th for those of you that want to escape the cold and spend a little extra time visiting one of our beautiful Florida beaches!
This weekend will include, intermediate and advanced classes with world renown Tango teachers Daniela Arcuri & Armando Orzuza and Natalia Games & Gabriel Angio, 4 milongas, and a Gala Tango celebration featuring a stage show, dinner, and milonga with live music. Victor The full info appears below: Tango in Tampa 2006 - Fri Feb 17th - Sat Feb 18th - Sun Feb 19th Featuring: Daniela Arcuri & Armando Orzuza and Natalia Games & Gabriel Angio Daniela Arcuri and Armando Orzuza, grew up in the milongas of Buenos Aires, where they developed their own unique style of dancing Tango. They have successfully amalgamated the originality of the Golden Era with the powerful styles of todays modern Tango. Their dancing has aspects of both Salon and Apilado but does not have a specific label. It is definitely close, has a lot of texture, and can be very passionate or just a little flirty. They are also extremely gifted teachers and their ability to teach specific technique for women and men is world renown. This ability comes from a strong background in ballet, modern dance, jazz, and Argentine Folk dancing, as well as Tango. They are equally skilled on stage, as well, having starred in the world famous production of Tango Pasion and created their own show Tango Puro. Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio are from Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they are sought after teachers and performers. To understand the quality of their dancing, you need only know that they have been featured dancers in "Tango X 2", one of the most critically acclaimed Tango dance companies in the world. They have also developed an excellent reputation as world class-teachers and have not lost sight of the unique skills that are necessary to have fun while navigating the huge crowds that typify the milongas of BsAs. They teach the type of dancing that is identified with the portenos, beginning with the teachings of their own masters, including Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, and Mingo Pugliese, then adding their own "New Generation" flavor to produce classes that will teach you the way Tango is danced today in the milongas of Buenos Aires.
