Announcing the 3rd "EL ABRAZO" TANGO TOUR to Buenos Aires
Valentine“s Week * Come Dance Your Heart Out!
February 11 - 19, 2006

Registration for the January trip with Jennifer Bratt and Ney Melo is now
officially closed, but we are having so much fun down here that we have
decided to stay another month and are happy to announce that there will be a
3rd El Abrazo Trip to Buenos Aires! Come join us this February 11th through
19th, 2006 for a week of dancing, learning, dining, making friends, shopping
and exploring in the mecca of Tango - Buenos Aires Argentina. We will share
with you what we love about the city, take you to
the teachers we most respect and have learned the most from, guide you to
the milongas we actually go to ourselves, seat you amongst our friends,
bring you to our local restaurants and to the stores we buy our own shoes
and clothing at. This is not a trip for tourists, but for serious dancers
who want to spend a week seeing Buenos Aires through our eyes and living
like we do as tango addicts! Ney and Jennifer are spending 4 months this
year in Buenos Aires (November to March). Join us for a week during this
time and experience the city as we do. Our focus will be on dancing and
learning tango, and having the most fun possible while doing so!

CLASSES:

Each morning you will have a chance to study with Jennifer and Ney, who are
known across the United States for their clear teaching and their dedication
to imparting the crucial skills for dancing tango as a social dance. They
have each traveled extensively to give special workshops and to teach at the
largest tango festivals in the country. We will work on the essentials that
everyone needs to enjoy dancing in the milongas of Buenos Aires, such as
connection, embrace, timing, sensitivity and sensuality. The evening classes
will be with carefully-selected teachers rooted in different traditions who
will expose you to a variety of ideas and techniques, and broaden your tango
experience. Some of the classes with be just for our group. We will also be
taking you to a few group classes out in the city, so you can mingle with
the Argentines who are also there taking classes, make friends with people
whom you might see out at the milongas, and get a taste of what studying
tango in Buenos Aires is really like. (The teachers will know you are there
as part of our group and Jennifer and Ney will be there to translate and to
assist.) We will introduce you to some teachers who rarely, if ever, make
appearances in the US.
